Practice Location

Our practices take place at the Kayak Launch area located within the World’s Fair Marina, part of Flushing Bay in Queens, NY. This serene waterfront space provides easy water access for launching dragon boats and is a central hub for the NYC paddling community.
Address:
World’s Fair Marina – Kayak Launch
Harbor Road, Flushing, NY 11368

Parking
Free parking is available in the public lot at the World’s Fair Marina. Enter from Harbor Road, just off the Grand Central Parkway Service Road. Look for signs indicating “Kayak Launch” or “Public Marina Parking.” The lot is a short walk from the launch area.
During peak season or major events at Citi Field or Flushing Meadows Park, parking may be more limited—please plan accordingly.

Public Transportation
Subway + Bus Option:
Take the 7 train to Mets-Willets Point Station. From there, walk approximately 15–20 minutes north through the pedestrian overpass toward the Marina, or take the Q48 bus toward LaGuardia Airport and get off at Harbor Road/Marina Entrance.
Bus Only Option:
You can also take the Q48 directly from Flushing Main Street or from LaGuardia Airport. Disembark at Harbor Road/World’s Fair Marina and walk toward the water.

Walking Directions from Mets-Willets Point:
After exiting the station, follow signs for the Flushing Bay Promenade, heading north. Cross over the Grand Central Parkway using the pedestrian bridge. Continue past Citi Field and the marina boatyard until you reach the kayak launch area near the waterfront.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking, equipment prep, and warm-up. If you’re unsure of directions or running late, don’t hesitate to contact your team lead or coach.
